Situated on the foothills of the magnificent Mount Te Aroha and nestled among vibrant ferns and spectacular native bush in a charming Edwardian style Domain, the pools have long been revered for their relaxing nature.

Soothing thermal waters that flow into the traditional European NO.2 bath house are rich with sodium bicarbonate and sodium chlorides leaving your skin feeling baby soft.

This spa bath is the last of the original turn of the 19th century bath houses in use today.

The oblong concrete bath has been retained, with refurbished benches permitting shoulder-deep immersion while sitting. It is partly fed from its own spring, and water wells up through rocks underneath the duckboards.
